The Sun

The sun decided to join us on our vacation. I was up way be for it but as the darkness left the birds were out in full force and you could see the sky glowing that beautiful morning colour - you know sort of a bluey green with a peachy glow. I know is it is something that when painted looks phoney.

I met Max and Jules walking along South Kihei and we walked on together for coffee. We sat looking out at the ocean and the people walking along. After we parted ways - they went back to their place I walked up a bit further to a farmer's market. I walked back home with my purchases along the beach side of S. Kihei - lots to see - a lady doing yoga on the grass, joggers (of course) lots of people walking (would love to say walkers but at my age I see a vision of a hunched up lady shuffling along pushing a walker) - way out I saw someone paddling out to the surf - imagine their day at the office.  The rest of the walk home was fill with other sites that made my heavy bag seem lighter. The heat of the day was coming and I was anxious now to get back.

I get back with my treasurers to see THE PEROGI MAKER well into his work. Give this man a kitchen, a bag of flour, and potatoes and you will get perogies no matter where you are.  I cooked us breakfast which we ate on our Lanai.
Max and Jules came for a visit. And then we moved over to their place and the rest of the day was lazing around their pool in the sun - reading and swimming. We met for dinner at Fred's Mexican Cafe

Wasn't that a party?

  1. Ugh! I am VERY, very jealous right now. I wish to be basking in the sun once again!
Enjoy your trip. Someday it would be great if we did a winter vacay reunion of some sort!

  2. Katie, that would be lots of fun.
I loved going to Fred's - great margaritas. When we go we are staying almost next door, so no driving required.
Wayne's renting a paddle board, so liked the picture of the guy boading. That looks like a very big wave. Pam
