ALOHA!

Well we arrived - in the dark - in the ?RAIN? What is that. Warm rain yes but rain. Also it was after midnight by the time we got our luggage and car. The trip was relatively uneventful - minor annoyances only. We had a 5 hour lay over in Vancouver but it didn't seem long. We spent it getting luggage, checking in for the Hawaii, having lunch and a drink. I think all in all we only had an hour where we did nothing.  Only two big surprises - the landing - did the pilot not know that he was closer to the runway - no gliding on to the tarmac for them. Good thing for a sturdy wheel assembly. The other suprise was the additional taxes on the rent a car. So not too bad for a day of travel. The good surprise was there were no compact cars in the rental lot so we were told to take a midsize.

The directions to our condo were great. We started to be doubters as the miles went by but we arrived no problem. Bigger problem was dealing with the lock box combination IN THE DARK.  Heeheehee - the two of us down on our hands and knees trying to figure out how this thing works.  We were surely spoilt in St. Lucia and we will have to stop comparing places. It is cute but small -  GREAT for two but I would not want to sleep 4 in here as was suggested by the advertising. We are not on the side by the pool which is a disappointment - the other way of looking at it  - our lanai is private. I like it but it does pales in comparison.

Oh goody the rain has stopped but not the wind. The birds are out in full force it is wonderful. Coffee is on - a shopping list is made and we are going to explore. Pictures LATER.
