Rainy Day

Just a little rain?

Yesterday was windy and rainy - but we really didn't mind as we used the day to get groceries. And besides I was reminded that I am NOT made out of sugar and will not melt.

First we decided we would find the Kimbles. That was easy - but I guess they were doing the same thing - apparently we crossed paths a few times. After a little visit we headed out shopping - Costco first - OH MY GOODNESS - everyone must have had the same idea - it was so crowded. We walked around for a bit and then decided we were crazy - there is just the two of us - do we really need that much of anything. I wanted to go to WalMart but Mike decided on Safeway. As we went up and down the aisles became apparent that we should have a Safeway Club card, the deals were great IF you had one - so I signed up for one. That decision saved us over $80 dollars. After the mammoth shop we came home put things away and headed up the coast to Lahaina and even though it was raining it was a beautiful drive. We stopped at Whaler's Village - tons of highend shopping, restaurants and bars. We poked around in a few shops - such beautiful things. LOVED the handmade furniture in one shop. Boy do we have expensive taste - over $6000 but the wood grain and the finish was amazing. After a bit we found a little beach bar and had Happy Hour.

We finished out the day having dinner with the Kimbles. How good does it get.
